MF下降寰球经济预期 IMF Slashes Global Economic Forecast


The International Monetary Fund has sharply lowered its economic forecast and now says the world economy will shrink for the first time in 60 years during 2009. As the report was published Thursday, IMF officials urged governments to do more to fight the downturn.




这个全球借贷机构表现,世界经济可能呈现最多达1%的压缩。该机构的研讨讲演说,各发达经济体将涌现重大消退,美国经济向下滑2.6%,日本将急剧下滑5.8%。


This global economic forecast is sharply lower than the IMF's projections issued in January, which predicted slow growth.




对寰球经济的这一预期大大低于国际货泉基金组织1月发表的预期,当时的猜测是迟缓增加。

The global lender said the world economy could shrink as much as one percent. The IMF study says advanced economies will suffer a "deep recession," with the United States economy declining at a 2.6 percent rate, and Japan falling at a sharp 5.8 percent.
